Mike Krische (Langley, BC) damaged his ankle and was out of the Canisius College Golden Griffs. It appeared to be a season-ending injury. The outfielder was back in time for the MAAC tourney and contributed at the NCAA regional in Springfield, Mo.

Connor Panas grounded out in his final at-bat for the Canisius College Golden Griffs and now looks forward to the his chapter of his baseball story.

RHP Devon Stewart (Maple Ridge, BC) allowed four runs in 4 2/3 innings as the Canisius Golden Griffs dropped a 14-1 decision to the Missouri State Bears Saturday afternoon.

It's listed as the Spingfield, Mo. regional, but the NCAA first-round, four-team double knock-out affair on the road to Omaha could be known as the Canadian regional with 16 in all: 13 from Canisius, one from Oregon, one from Iowa and Joey Hawkins from host Missouri State. 

OF Mike Krische returned to the lineup the week before the MAAC tourney and received a standing ovation in his first at-bat after being sidelined with a painful ankle injury.
