On March 1, 2020, Marika Lyszczyk (Delta, B.C.) was shattering barriers on Terry Park Field No. 4 in Fort Myers, Fla. On that beautiful day, she became the first female to ever catch in a National Collegiate Athletic Association game when she strapped on the gear in the Rivier University Raiders’ 12-3 loss to the Thiel College Tomcats.
