Alomar hosts successful PR12 event in Puerto Rico, T12 in Toronto is next

Toronto Blue Jays legend Roberto Alomar just concluded the first PR12 Showcase event at Hiram Bithorn Stadium in San Juan, Puerto Rico. The event that was sponsored by Major League Baseball took place on Alomar’s beautiful island July 31-to-Aug. 5. A number of pro scouts and college recruiters were on hand as PR12 searched for the best 150 players age 17-to-20.

Blue Jays place Gurriel on DL, recall Barnes

After undergoing an MRI in Oakland on Tuesday, Lourdes Gurriel Jr. has been placed on the 10-day disabled list by the Toronto Blue Jays with a high left ankle sprain and a grade 1 sprain of his left knee.
