Toronto Blue Jays closer Roberto Osuna pitched a scoreless inning in his first all-star game appearance on Tuesday. It's the first of what could be many for the 22-year-old closer who has had to overcome his share of obstacles to achieve stardom in the big leagues. Wilson swings lumber for Amsterdam in perfect week

 

Former Ontario Terrier and Canisius College Griffs 3B Liam Wilson made it look easy during a standout week for the Amsterdam Mohawks of the Perfect Game Collegiate League earning Co-Player of the Week for Week 3 of the season and Collegiate Summer Baseball National Hitter of the Week. Wilson, the man who bumped Cal Quantrill off 3B, went 11-for-19 with five doubles, two home runs and an impressive 1.158 slugging percentage.

Thunder Bay readies for 18U World Cup

 

Toronto Blue Jays Youth Day is scheduled for Wednesday Aug. 30, prior to the opening day of the U18 World Cup. A number of clinics will be run by the Toronto Blue Jays organization and will include joint Jays Care and Toronto Blue Jays Academy programs in association with the Boys and Girls Club of Thunder Bay, Challenger Baseball and Toronto Blue Jays Instructional Clinic.
