A summary of the transactions involving Canadians from May 1 to May 31.

Major Leagues/ Affiliated Minor Leagues

RHP Cohen Achen (Calgary, Alta.) was promoted to the Baltimore Orioles’ double-A Chesapeake Baysox from the High-A Aberdeen IronBirds (May 3).

INF Tyler Black (Stouffville, Ont.) was sent on a minor league rehab assignment to the Milwaukee Brewers’ ACL Brewers (May 15).

C Connor Caskenette (Duncan, B.C.) was promoted to the Miami Marlins’ double-A Pensacola Blue Wahoos from the High-A Beloit Sky Carp (May 26).

LHP Miguel Cienfuegos (Laval, Que.) was assigned to the San Diego Padres’ triple-A El Paso Chihuahuas (May 6).

OF Denzel Clarke (Pickering, Ont.) was promoted to the big-league Athletics from the triple-A Las Vegas Aviators (May 23).

C Nicolas Deschamps (Quebec, Que.) was activated by the Toronto Blue Jays’ double-A New Hampshire Fisher Cats (May 7). He was assigned to the High-A Vancouver Canadians (May 13).

INF/OF Eric Hartman (St. Albert, Alta.) was placed on the seven-day injured list by the Atlanta Braves’ Class-A Augusta GreenJackets (May 24).

C Tyler Herron (Grande Prairie, Alta.) was assigned to the Tampa Bay Rays’ class-A Charleston RiverDogs from the FCL Rays (May 21). He was promoted to the High-A Bowling Green Hot Reds on May 25.

LHP Thomas Ireland (Regina, Sask.) was promoted to the Texas Rangers’ double-A Frisco Roughriders from the Class-A Hickory Crawdads (May 9). He was assigned back to the Crawdads on May 10.

INF Edouard Julien (Quebec, Que.) was optioned to the triple-A St. Paul Saints by the Minnesota Twins (May 5).

INF Jack Lines (Okotoks, Alta.) was assigned to the Tampa Bay Rays’ FCL Rays from the Class-A Charleston RiverDogs (May 18).

INF Otto Lopez (Montreal, Que.) was activated by the Miami Marlins from the 10-day injured list (May 18).

INF Matt Lloyd (Okotoks, Alta.) was placed on the seven-day injured list by the St. Louis Cardinals’ triple-A Memphis Redbirds (May 18).

LHP Wesley Moore (Surrey, B.C.) was sent to the Philadelphia Phillies’ High-A Jersey Shore Blue Claws from the double-A Reading Fightin’ Phils (May 13).

OF Tyler O’Neill (Maple Ridge, B.C.) was placed on the 10-day injured list by the Boston Red Sox on May 18.

INF Damiano Palmegiani (Surrey, B.C.) was transferred to the Development List by the Toronto Blue Jays’ triple-A Buffalo Bisons (May 1). He was activated by the Bisons on May 7.

C Konner Piotto (Mississauga, Ont.) was activated from the seven-day injured list by the Texas Rangers’ triple-A Round Rock Express (May 17).

RHP Zach Pop (Brampton, Ont.) was assigned to the Seattle Mariners’ ACL Mariners (May 13). He was assigned to the triple-A Tacoma Rainiers (May 20).

RHP Josiah Romeo (Caledon, Ont.) was assigned to the Athletics’ ACL A’s squad (May 2).

RHP Michael Soroka (Calgary, Alta.) was assigned to the Washington Nationals’ triple-A Rochester Red Wings from the double-A Harrisburg Senators to continue his minor league rehab assignment (May 2). He was activated by the Nationals on May 7.

INF/OF Abraham Toro (Longueuil, Que.) had his contract selected by the Boston Red Sox (May 3).

INF/OF Jared Young (Prince George, B.C.) was promoted to the New York Mets from the triple-A Syracuse Mets (May 24).
