Cole Dorland and Desmond Tregaskis combined to work four scoreless innings as the Brewers Langley Blaze blanked Team Elite 18U Prime 2-0 at the Perfect Game World Wood Bat championships on Day II in Jupiter.

The 27th annual event has 120 teams, including 56 Canadians spread across 10 different teams.

RHP Dorland (Langley, BC) took over in the third inning with a 1-0 lead. He struck out five in his 28-pitch outing (71% strikes) and his fastball was clocked at 91 MPH.

Next came RHP Tregaskis (Delta, BC) with the score now 2-0. He allowed one walk and one hit, while pitching two scoreless throwing 37 pitches (64%) hitting 88 MPH. Both are members of the Junior National Team.

Luke Laird (Langley, BC) knocked in a run in for the Brewers Langley Blaze in a 9-3 loss to USA Prime National/Detroit Tigers Scout Team.

Jonathan Slogocki (Surrey, BC) pitched 1 1/3 innings allowing five runs -- two earned -- on three hits and a walk. He threw 45 pitches (55% strikes), hitting 81 MPH.

DH Ben Paul (Gloucester, Ont.) and 1B Jalen Jacob (Maple, Ont.) each doubled as CBA Marucci beat Canadian Premier 9-1. LF Sam Ellis (Wakefield, Que.) singled home the lone run for Canadian Premier.

3B Robert Omidi (Mississauga, Ont.) and RF Maxime Blain (Repentigny, Que.) had the other hits.

LHP Jack Perry (Mississauga, Ont.) started, worked two innings and allowed four runs on three hits and two walks. He struck out two working 43 pitches (53% strikes) and hitting 88 MPH.

RHP Logan Cummins (Mississauga, Ont.) was first out of the bullpen, allowing one run on one hit and two walks. He struck out a pair in his 33-pitch outing (51% strikes). LHP Mathis McKenna (Riguad, Que.) allowed four runs on four hits and a walk. He threw 25 pitches (68% strikes) and was clocked at 88 MPH.

Charles Bernatchez (Quebec, Que.) pitched 1 1/3 scoreless innings as the Toronto Blue Jays Scout Team fell 3-1 to the Swarm Red Elite National.

Bernatchez allowed one hit and one walk, as he fanned three. He threw 20 pitches (55% strikes) and his fastball clocked at 91 MPH.
