Victoria Eagles catcher Connor Simpson (Victoria, B.C.) crushed a 368-foot solo home run over the left field fence in the fifth inning to rally Team Black to a 4-1 victory over Team Royal on Wednesday in the Canadian Futures Showcase at Rogers Centre. Simpson became the first player in the tournament to hit a ball over the fence for a home run.
